GoGroops Terms of Use

Effective: October 16, 2026. Last updated: October 23, 2026.

These terms apply to the GoGroops app and website, run by Travel Sciences, Inc. ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using GoGroops you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use GoGroops.

Who can use GoGroops

You must be at least 13 years old to use GoGroops. If you are under the age of majority where you live (18 in most US states), a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. GoGroops is not directed to children under 13, and we close accounts we learn belong to them.

Your account

Give accurate information when you sign up, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, then Delete account) or on the website.

No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior

GoGroops is for planning trips with people you invite. You must not post, share or send anything that:

  • harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates anyone, or promotes violence;
  • is hateful or discriminates against people for who they are;
  • is sexually explicit, or sexual content involving minors of any kind;
  • is spam, a scam, or misleading, or impersonates someone else;
  • breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights, including their privacy and copyright.

We do not tolerate this content or these users. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without notice.

Reporting and blocking

You can report a message or a person in the app, and block anyone who bothers you. Blocking someone hides their messages from you and stops private messages between you. Reports come to our team, and we review them within 24 hours, removing content and the people who posted it when they break these terms. You can also write to privacy@travelsciences.com.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add, such as itinerary items, messages, photos and journal entries. You allow us to store, process and show it to the members of your trip, and to the people you share it with, so GoGroops can work. Only add content you have the right to share.

Shared trips and costs

Trip details, messages and costs are shared with the members of each trip. GoGroops helps a group keep track of who paid and who owes whom, but it does not move money; settling up happens between you, outside GoGroops. Travel information, maps, photos and suggestions come partly from other services and may be incomplete or out of date, so check important details, such as bookings and opening hours, yourself.

Location sharing

Sharing your location with a trip is optional, lasts only for the time you choose, and can be stopped at any time. Only the members of that trip can see it.

Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the people who use GoGroops. For objectionable content or abusive behavior (see above) we may act right away and without notice; in other cases we will try to tell you first and explain why, using the email address on your account. If you think we made a mistake, write to privacy@travelsciences.com. You can stop using GoGroops and delete your account at any time. When an account is closed, its data is handled as described on our support page. If we ever stop offering GoGroops, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

Availability and changes

We work to keep GoGroops running, but it is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of GoGroops. We may change these terms; if the changes are significant we will ask you to agree again in the app.

Governing law and disputes

If you have a problem with GoGroops, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of the place where you live that cannot be waived by agreement.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
